About PkgSeer

Package intelligence for registry metadata, dependencies, advisories, and project analysis.

What PkgSeer Is

PkgSeer indexes package ecosystems, tracks dependency intelligence, stores vulnerability data, and serves API-backed package analysis. The public pkgseer.dev site is a web UI for exploring that package intelligence and validating product flows.

Why It Exists

Modern applications depend on deep, fast-changing dependency trees. Useful answers require current registry metadata, version history, advisories, dependency graphs, documentation, and repository context. PkgSeer keeps that data normalized and queryable across ecosystems.

What PkgSeer Provides

Package Intelligence

PkgSeer aggregates package metadata and analysis signals, including:

  • Versions, releases, changelogs, and registry metadata
  • Known vulnerabilities, malicious package advisories, and fix versions
  • Direct and transitive dependency graphs
  • Repository and documentation discovery for packages
  • Quality and maintenance signals used by downstream products

Project Analysis

pkgseer.dev lets users upload manifests and review dependency state across projects:

  • Complete dependency tree across all ecosystems
  • Aggregated vulnerability report
  • Dependency documentation where available
  • Quality overview of your entire dependency stack

API and Data Layer

PkgSeer exposes normalized package, project, documentation, and repository signals through its application and GraphQL API so user-facing experiences can work from current indexed evidence.
